Billions of dollars are spent on internet advertising each year and some of those advertising dollars could go into your pocket. One way to do this is by joining some "Paid to Surf" programs. You've probably heard of people making over a thousand dollars a month doing this, but these cases are very rare. However, it is very realistic for the average person to make between $75-$150 US per month. This should more than pay for a high speed internet access like cable or DSL. That is why I tell people there is no longer a good reason to stay with dial-up access. You're better off getting "always on" high speed access and joining a paid to surf program and earn money rather than pay for internet services. |

Spedia rewards you with "Ad Points" which are then converted to dollars. The conversion rate varies depending on the company's ad revenues. GetPaid4 pays 70%+ of its advertising revenue to members. This translated to $0.48US/hour for the month of January 2000. The maximum number of hours per month is 75. Referrals are 7 levels deep. You are credited with time as long as you are connected to the Internet and using your computer. You do not have to be surfing. You can be reading email, using your word processor, or whatever. Instead of paying a fixed hourly rate, Desktopdollars pays you 42% of ad revenues. You are paid for referrals 6 levels deep. Desktopdollars does not require you to be surfing, just connected to the Internet while you work on your computer. They are also working on what they called a "Clixcard."  One of my favorites, Clickdough pays at least 50% of its ad revenues to its members. There is no limit on the number of hours you can accumulate per month, and you are paid for referrals up to 8 levels deep.
